Sourcing & Innovation Days 2007 got under way on Wednesday 6th June with more than 100 participants sharing ideas and experiences in the Visions 2008 round table discussions.

There was a wide range of themes that the buyers and suppliers chose to discuss, including Creating Added Value, Globalisation v Specialisation, Sustainable Development and Optimising The Supply Chain. Discussions were held in an informal yet professional atmosphere, and credit must be given for the active participation of all those taking part, especially as many had just arrived after a long and tiring journey.

For the discussions on optimising the supply chain, the participants were able to benefit from the expertise of SDV Logistics, who are taking part in the Sourcing Days event as one of the supplier companies. This follows requests to the organisers from participants at previous Sourcing Days events to include other industries such as logistics.
