The president of the German paper mill association, Bernd Rettig, senior Executive Vice President of Stora Enso, Düsseldorf explained in a general assembly that the paper industry continues to be under cost pressure and the growth quantities unchanged.
Still according to Rettig, a production increase of about 4% is expected for the current year. A large part of the increase would go to international market, namely to Eastern Europe, which takes up approximately 20% of the foreign business of the German paper mill.
The most important concern for the paper manufacturers remains the raw materials and energy costs.
