Superscaled harmful elements in imported stationery - China
Recently, Jinan (in Shandong province, China) Imp & Exp Inspection and Quarantine Bureau declared that they had found some of the imported stationery products for children contained superscaled harmful elements like plumbum and chromium. The Bureau chose the 24-color pencils and 2B pencil of Stadler (Germany) and Mitsubishi (Japan), and the 12-color pencils of Li Bai Dai (Taiwan), with testing included elements like stibium, arsenic, barium, chromium, cadmium, plumbum, Hg, selenium, etc. Among of them, the content of the plumbum of the pencil leads from Li Bai Dai doubled the standard, and failed to past the inspection.
