Successful launch for USB rechargeable battery - England
The USBCell, a battery which you can recharge in a USB port in your PC or laptop, is available in 50 countries just 8 months after being launched.
The battery is being coveted by major retailers around the world after Internet technology sites and blogs started to rave about the product when it was launched in September 2006.
Such was the interest generated when the battery was launched to selected media publications that the product's website usbcell.com became the 2000th most visited site on the entire Internet, and the product's inventors Moixa Energy were inundated with requests from retailers who wanted to stock the battery.
The USBCell is currently available in AA format, with a AAA version on the way, and USBCells for mobile phone batteries are also in the pipeline.
