The US Antitrust authorities have been conducting an investigation since May 2004 about Stora Enso North America Corporation’s price fixing.
The first result has been announced, stating that the integrated paper, packaging, and forest products company is charged for its alleged anticompetitive conduct in connection with the coated magazine paper sale in the US in 2002 and 2003. Please note by the way that the indictment does not concern any Stora Enso employee individually.
Denying such indictment, Stora Enso will enter a plea of not guilty before the court expected to occur sometime in 2007.
