The Stationery and Office Products Shows (SOPX) which ran last week in London will become a standalone exhibition for buyers of stationery products for the home, school and office, known simply as the Stationery Show from 2011. Admission will be restricted to retailers and resellers, and will exclude non-exhibiting suppliers.
“We are disappointed after three years not to be continuing with the office products side but there isn’t the level of support needed from office product suppliers to make it commercially worthwhile to do so” says organiser Chris Leonard-Morgan. “We are however very excited by the opportunity to create a significant UK stationery event following the successful launch of the ‘100% stationery’ concept last week, which was attended by many leading independent and multiple retailers, as well as dealers. Stationery has become a dynamic and increasingly consumer-led market, and offers considerable scope for development.”
The 2011 Stationery Show will take place at the Business Design Centre in London on Tuesday 12 – Wednesday 13 April.
