Smead, a leader in filing and document management for more than a hundred years, introduces a new line of innovative products with Anti-microbial protection.
Companies are gradually waking up to the health issues and economic costs associated with the spread of bacteria, mold and mildew. Research shows that bacteria and viruses can survive at least 72 hours on almost any surface, and it is a fact that these can be spread by touching objects. To help companies maintain a healthier environment and minimize the costs and potential hazards caused by microbial contaminations, Smead has successfully developed a full line of standard office products offering Anti-Microbial (AM) protection.
· Most Smead products with Anti-microbial protection are completely impregnated, ensuring protection both inside and out.
· Within two hours of a contamination, the Anti-microbial protection can destroy 99.5%of applied bacteria and viruses, and in 24 hours, in excess of 99.9%.
· The anti-microbial treatment will, of course, also be effective against the growth of bacteria, fungi and other microbes, a unique benefit when it comes to archival of documents in long-term storage areas.
· In turn, Anti-microbial protection increases product quality and lifetime, and may help companies meet health industry standards and prevent or minimize damage claims.
Customers will be able to equip their offices with a full line of products for every day. The Anti-microbial product line includes two types of lever arch files, ring binder, three types of suspension files, paper and plastic flat files, plastic and metal waste paper bins, plastic letter tray and plastic desk top set. Smead products with Anti-microbial protection form an extensive range of 22 products available.
