The latest industry report by oekom research shows that Ricoh is the top performing business globally for sustainability performance, according to the Japanese photocopier and printer manufacturer.

The research was based on an extensive study of more than 200 IT industry companies around the world. From the 16.1% of companies who received oekom ‘Prime’ status, the number one position was awarded to Ricoh and Intel.
 

oekom focused on key issues in relation to the IT industry’s sustainability performance including working condition in the supply chain; reduction/substitution of hazardous components; Return, recycling, reuse; and customer information on potential energy savings and hazardous substances.

oekom recognised Ricoh as a leader in terms of the sustainable design of products and the reduction of energy consumption of its printers and photocopiers over recent years.
