The Pilot Pen Company will reduce its retail packaging in the latest step of the company’s ongoing commitment to reduce its impact on the environment.
Don Skelton, Managing Director, said: “We wanted to make a real difference and reduce any unnecessary packaging by at least 27%.”
"The process we used had to be thorough and we looked at all aspects of our supply chain. Our aim in reducing our packaging is to make a positive impact on both business efficiency and environmental stewardship. The challenge was to find the right balance between reduced packaging and functionality as retail packaging has to fulfil many complex functions including brand and product communication.”
