Pelikan has ventured into the retail channel in Malaysia with the franchising of its PeliStation branded outlets.
The company says that the primary goal of PeliStation is to present its full range of products and services, especially for the office. The PeliStation franchise also includes an express ink refill device - the PeliFill machine.
"In today’s economic environment, franchising as a business model has emerged as being more vital and significant to business growth than ever before," said Pelikan Asia vice-president Kenny Kang.
"This move will further enhance our presence, in addition to the existing distribution network that we work closely with," he added during the launch of PeliStation’s first outlet located in SS15, Subang Jaya on Nov 24.
Pellikan plans to open another five stores by mid-2010.
