Pelikan has sent nine tons of stationery supplies to Van in Tukey where education restarted on January 2 following an earthquake.
Stationery from Pelikan was distributed to the students by Pinar Ersoy, Pelikan Country Manager and Ramazan Fani, Ercis District Governor. The students attend prefabricated schools built after the earthquake.
Ersoy stated that Pelikan is trying to provide as much support as possible as a requirement of social responsibility. “After the earthquake in Van, we thought what we could do as Pelikan. Because there was a great food and clothing support, we decided to send stationery for the purpose of contributing to the students’ education. When I communicated the issue to our headquarter in Germany, they were as excited as me, and took action immediately. They prepared the stationary they had in hand, which corresponded to 9-ton materials, to be sent to Van.”
