Messe Frankfurt reports that 44,521 professionals from 142 different countries made their way to Frankfurt for Paperworld 2010, up from 41,826 in 2009.

The turnstiles registered 27,099 visitors from overseas and 18,422 from Germany, a figure that was slightly down from last year and was undoubtedly affected by the snowy weather. There were 2,111 exhibitors, of which 1,688 were from outside Germany. This was a slight increase from 2010, but most likely attributed to the parallel running of Remax – for remanufactured ink cartridges.

Despite the positive figures, Paperworld 2010 had many notable absentees, such as Fellowes, Acme United, Trodat, uni-mitsubishi, Pentel, Stabilo and Newell Rubbermaid.
