Egyptian stationery manufacturer Gelcy reports that its production came through the country's revolution virtually uncscathed. A one week closure was compensation for by extra worker shifts to meet demand for its pencils.
Gelcy is TUV certified and has a wide range of pencils made from mineral-based plastic, which it says helps conserve forests. The material is also very safe, with no jagged edges even if a pencil breaks in two.
To meet demand from Europe and the Middle East Gelcy has launched a new set of 12 colour pencils – 12 Hexa G-Colors.
