One of them, the elfyoursel.com, has particularly captured the public’s attention, with an average of 10 visitors every second, and an appearance on media outlets such as ABC-TV's "Good Morning America," USA Today, C/NET, VH1's Best Week Eve, and so on…

In fact, the elfyourself.com site is a tool that OfficeMax proposes to its visitors to create customized holiday e-cards by simply uploading a photo and record a synchronized message through a special toll-free phone number. The face is then attached to an animated elf body, the voice is processed to sound elf-like, resulting in a dancing and talking elf that can be forwarded to friends or families.
