Plustek has launched the SmartOffice PL2546 Duplex Scanner, a collapsible, integrated high-speed sheet-fed scanner. Plustek is promoting it for organizations trying to go paperless including government departments, institutions, and enterprises.

The PL2546 features full-colour duplex scanning of thick documents and plastic cards such as insurance cards, credit cards, ID cards, and driver's licenses.

The scanner, which uses contact image sensor (CIS) technology, can scan at up to 600 by 600 dots per inch (dpi) optical resolution, according to Plustek, which also says that it can perform a duplex colour scan at up to 25 pages per minute or 46 images per minute.
