HP has introduced two new business-centered desktops: the HP Compaq dc5850 and the Compaq dx2450.
The HP Compaq dc5850 offers integrated ATI Radeon 3100 graphics and support for AMD’s Business Class processors, which are joined by AMD’s Cool’n’Quiet 2.0 technology. This allows for frequency adjustments to each processor core for a more quiet, more energy-efficient PC (the dc5850 is Energy Star 4.0 qualified).
The system also comes with access to HP Client Manager, which helps streamline PC management and security (as it comes with a TPM 1.2 security chip and HP Backup and Recovery Manager). On the lower end, the HP Compaq dx2450 offers a choice of AMD CPUs (going all the way up to the Phenom) and comes with fewer frills than the dc5850.
Both systems are extremely configurable, and HP lets you customize the memory, space, and optical drive of the systems however you want.
