Luxury goods company Richemont, which includes Montblanc, will increase its number of stores following strong demand from Asia.
Chief financial officer Gary Saage says that the group will open another 43 stores in the next six months. Richemont, which also includes brands such as Cartier and IWC, reported a sales increase of 29% to €4,214bn for the six months ending September 30. Montblanc's sales increased 10 percent, reflecting good demand for its range of watches and writing accessories, particularly in Asia-Pacific.
China has now become Richemont’s third-largest market after Hong Kong and the US.
