Mega Brands to keep stationery branch - Canada

Canadian toy manufacturer Mega Brands has said that the planned sale of its stationery and activities business purchased from Rose Art Industries four years ago may not go ahead.

 

"At the beginning that was the option, now we're looking at all different options to improve the financial position," CEO Marc Bertrand said following the company's annual shareholders' meeting.

 

Bertrand added that the sale of the segment, which has annual revenues of US$200 million, is not part of Mega Brand’s debt plan with its banks.
