Lyreco Switzerland has increased its sales by 35.6% to 219.2 million francs in 2011, following its acquisition of Waser Bürocenter AG and its subsidiary Aepli Office AG in January 2011. Excluding sales generated by the acquisition, like for like sales were up 4%.

Lyreco Switzerland reported that the integration measures are still in progress and that it now has approximately 480 employees, 100 more than a year ago.

At the time of the acquisition Lyreco said that the combination of both Waser Bürocenter and Lyreco businesses will strengthen its leading position and operations on the Swiss market and that the acquisition will enable Waser Bürocenter to benefit from Lyreco’s global buying leverage, expertise and systems, having previously only been a sales partner of Staples.
