Computer supplies wholesaler Ingram Micro has posted fourth-quarter 2009 revenues of $8.81 billion, up 1.0% from $8.68 billion reported in the year-ago quarter.
The increase was primarily due to strong sales growth in Asia-Pacific and favourable currency movements. North America reported fourth-quarter sales of $3.59 billion, down 5.0% from $3.80 billion a year ago and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) reported revenues of $3.05 billion, down 3.4%.
Ingram Micro reported net income of $107.0 million for the fourth quarter compared to the fourth quarter 2008 net loss of $564.3 million. The company did not provide any numerical guidance for the coming quarters but expects sequential sales to decline in line with the seasonal trends.
