HP has appointed John Solomon as senior vice president of the Asia Pacific and Japan region business within the company’s Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), effective immediately.
A 15-year veteran of HP, Solomon has served since 2007 as vice president and general manager of HP’s U.S. consumer business and IPG’s inkjet and web solutions business for the Americas.
In his new role, he will lead the teams responsible for accelerating IPG’s growth in its Asia Pacific and Japan region, which represents an estimated $61 billion market opportunity for printing products and services. HP is well positioned to address this opportunity with a portfolio of devices, supplies, software and solutions that span multiple customer segments, including enterprise, graphics, small- to midsize business and consumer.
“The Asia Pacific and Japan region is an important growth opportunity for HP,” said Joshi. “John’s experienced and proven business leadership in the region, combined with his strong strategic and relationship skills, and his passion for serving customers, will help drive our business to the next level.”
