HP has launched a carbon offsetting scheme in Australia and New Zealand in order to reduce the impact of its products on the environment. Working in conjunction with the government of New Zealand, HP will offset the emissions for each product its sells.
Annukka Dickens, environment manager at HP south Pacific, said: "We feel that a long-term investment in renewable energy really complements other programs at HP."
HP and over 300 other global companies recently worked together on the Carbon Disclosure Project. The project aims to make company transport and the use office supplies more environmentally friendly.
