Herman Miller benefitted from rising orders as it increased its fourth-quarter profit. The office furniture maker reported revenue of $441.5 million, up 37 percent compared to the same period last year.
CEO Brian Walker said the company finished the year in a "strong fashion" and saw double-digit sales growth each quarter. "This recovery complements a host of milestones we achieved this year, all of which provide momentum as we begin fiscal 2012," Walker said.
For the full year, the company earned $70.8 million, compared with $28.3 million in 2010.
