Germans have regained a somewhat more optimistic future outlook compared with a few months ago, according to the lates survey conducted by GfK.
The number of those who believe it possible that the crisis is coming to an end is increasing slightly across the country, and fewer and fewer people fear a further economic crash. These are the findings of three surveys on the duration of the crisis, which were carried out between May and September.
Whereas in spring 2009 just 6% of over 2,000 respondents stated that the crisis had been essentially overcome, this figure has doubled over the summer and currently stands at 15%.
In addition, the number of those who assume that Germany’s economy will at least not worsen any further rose between May and September, climbing from 30% to 36%.
