Exacompta Clairefontaine has published its quarterly results showing a return to profitablilty. The French paper products manufacturer reported a profit of 2.02 million euros for the quarter ending June 30, compared to a loss of 1.2 million in the same period 2009.
'The increase of the price of pulp and other raw materials affected our margins', read a company statement referring to a reduction of operating profit to 3.21 million euros from 3.3 million.
Sales remained stable at 262 millions euros compared to 261.1 millions euros for the same period 2009 with the company saying that customers are now starting to restock inventories.
