Esselte reports positive growth in Leitz products - Germany

German office products manufacturer Esselte Europe recorded an impressive sales growth of 9% in European sales of products from the Leitz brand. The sales growth was 19% outside Germany and was the key behind the positive overall sales increase of 1% for Esselte Europe in 2007.

 

Leitz's puts this growth down to its commitment to R&D that ensures products are constantly updated and renewed so they continue to be the best products on the market. The Leitz brand is used in both the Filing and Workspace categories.

 

“The contribution made by the Leitz brand within our overall development is particularly significant,” explained Barry McCool, VP of marketing at Esselte Europe. “The brand’s innovations are producing extraordinarily high rates of growth that, in turn, are more than compensating for lower non-strategic private label business, both in sales and profit terms.”
