German Document Management Solution (DMS) specialist DocuWare has reported strong results for 2007 with sales rising by over 14% to top the 10 million euro mark for the first time. The company won 845 new customers for its integrated document management system, up 130 from the previous year.
Germany was the DocuWare group's market leader, with sales growth of 28 percent for new installations and updates. However, because its revenue share was already very large due to existing service contracts, overall growth in the Germany market was 18 percent.
The past financial year saw a surge in sales. A year after the launch of the DocuWare 5 product generation in 2006, the DocuWare AG recorded excellent results with its first successor – DocuWare 5.1. Worldwide sales in the DocuWare group grew by 11 percent, the previous year to 10.5 million euros, almost exclusively from license sales. The project revenue generated from this by partners was around 46 million euros.
