Depot ties up exclusively with Small World Creation, UK for children's interactive books - India

Depot is one of the youngest brands from the Future Group. The group's flagship enterprise, Pantaloon Retail, is India's leading retail company with presence in food, E-tailing, leisure and many other sectors.

Depot has recently tied up exclusively with Small World Creation, UK for children's interactive books. Three different series have been launched currently including - 'Hidey Holes', 'Touch & Guess' and 'Fun for toddlers box set'. These books facilitate interactive learning for children between the ages of 1 to 3 years. The prices of these books range from Rs.125 to Rs.199.

Preeti Vyas, Business Head Manager in Depot, said "The books are designed to stimulate creativity, enhance knowledge, improve communication, expand vocabulary and develop natural talent. She added "We believe that there is huge potential in this category and we are all set to create new benchmarks for the industry in this segment.

It is also the first time that books of this quality are available in India for such affordable prices. Until now, because of exorbitant prices, Indian toddlers have had limited access to that sort of books. Now with depot entering this segment, its intimated stamp of "freedom and access" will ensure that continuous stimulation & fun is available to kids across the country."

The books are educational, interactive, entertaining, rewarding and user friendly. These books are published only by Depot in India and will be available only at Depot stores across India.

At Depot, customers can find an extensive range of books, music, and gifts galore. It has books across various subjects (fiction, general reference, management and kids), music CDs and cassettes spanning all genres (Rock, Pop, Hindi, Indipop and many more), home video (VCD and DVD) and multimedia (CD-ROMs). It also has an attractive range of gifts (candles, mugs, photo-frames, theme packs) toys and stationery (office, children's and fancy stationery). It is characterised by an informal display of products, affordable pricing, local flavour, youthful, lively and interactive retail experience.

Recently, Staples, Inc. also got into a joint venture with Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited (part of Future Group) for its new office products business unit, Future Office. The agreement establishes a platform for Staples to enter the $10 billion office products.
