Americans are still willing to pay more for green products and services, despite the economic slowdown according to a survey commissioned by SCA and conducted by Harris Interactive.
Overall, 47% of U.S. adults agreed they would be willing to pay more for environmentally-friendly products. 57% of those surveyed said they would pay the additional costs for products made from recycled materials and 62% said they would dig deeper into their wallets for green/organic cleaning supplies.
The respondents said they were willing to spend an average of 17% to 19% percent more for each of these green products.
