Sales of laser printers had declined the previous year largely due to an adjustment of inventory levels, but more than doubled in the quarter with an increase of 131%.
Sales for the office segment totalled ¥409.1 billion (3.3 billion euror), an increase of 8.0% year on year, and operating profit increased 50.5% to ¥72.1 billion (581 million euros), mainly as a result of expanded sales and the rise in the gross profit ratio.
