102nd China Import and Export Fair - China
The biannual Canton fair opened yesterday (15th-30th October) using a new name and a new logo.
Now the China Import and Export Fair (CIEF) replaces the old Chinese Import and Export Commodity Fair.
A launching ceremony, hosted by Vice-minister of commerce Yi Xiaozhun, was held in Guangzhou's Dongfang Hotel which was also the press conference of the 102nd China Import and Export Fair.
A new management reinforces the examination of export licenses issued by the authorities at the production location.
China customs and ministry of commerce have simplified inspection and quarantine procedures for imported exhibits: all imported exhibits that fail to meet China's sanitation standards are to be disinfected in a large sealed container.
